Courses

We are able to offer all the important courses needed by learners for life in General Practice. These are laid on by or with assistance from the Oxford Deanery and include:

Introductory Course

A residential course at the start of the year, designed to help the new registrar get the most out of his or her year. A longstanding course runs at Cumberland Lodge. Not only a great educational experience but also superb good and glorious surroundings

Minor Surgery

A whole day course run at a state of the art skills lab.

Child Health Surveillance

A two day course covering developmental checks, child protection, immunisations etc.

Family Planning and STIF

A three-day course covering all the areas needed to be able to successfully complete the DFFP.

Consultation Skills

A course designed to help all final year learners to pass the video assessment and to become more competent and confident consulters.
