VTS Timetable

The scheme runs sessions for all VTS SHOs and registrars every Tuesday except for the final week of August and between Christmas and New Year. There is also a lunchtime session for final year registrars, which runs on the same Tuesdays, except the first Tuesday of the month.

The programme is organised to meet the needs of all the learners on the scheme, but is open to all SHOs who wish to attend.

The aims of the course are:

  • To provide a peer group for practical support, learning and sharing
  • To provide an introduction to the skill needed in General practice

This is achieved through a combination of talks, discussions, and small group work, as well as more formal lectures and informal learning opportunities.

By its very nature the programme tends to vary over time. Learners are advised to check for changes on a regular basis.
